Looked for a mechanic online close to my work with good reviews. Everyone who gets service done by Rick and crew is overly pleased. To me it's mainly because the shop treats your car like it's their car and they do not overcharge. It's kinda like Rick likes fixing cars so much he feels bad that he has to even charge you at all. That's the kind of service that will always get my business. I have referred several people to that place. It's not a fancy place, not in a fancy neighborhood, but if you want a straight-up, honest mechanic who will fix your car on time and at the same price he quoted originally this is your guy! When I went the first time I had all my Shocks, struts, axle, steering components, bearings and bushings repaired/replaced. My car was in and out by the end of the day and trust that is no easy repair. They dropped me at work and even sent someone to pick me up after it was done. I would recommend anyone in the South Bay to go to Ricks, but even if you live in L.A. I say it's worth the drive!

I have a 2003 Honda CRV EX Stick shift, and when I was leaving work from Santa Monica, I heard this grouling noise, on my way home I heard it again in front of Ricks Automotive, when I came out of my car I was greeted by the Owner Rick, and we test drove my car and apperantly, my Clutch went out, he did not want me to drive my car anymore and was gracious enough to give me his loaner as I told hiim that I live in Lawndale but work in Santa Monica, he gave me an estimate of the cost. While my car was in the shop, he sent me e-mails of what my clutch looked like and a very detailed spec on what they would have to do, In my years with my Honda 2003 CRV-EX, this was the first time I was shown and told on what actually is to be done with the car as well as how long it would take, he also made suggestions, on what my car would need, I was very pleased on Rick's evaluation with my car and time took for him to finish the work, was acctually faster then his estimated time. I would most definately recommend you to go to this shop, with the assurance that the work will get done and not be charged an arm and a leg for it. Thanks Rick for all your help with my car.

This is a family owned business which was passed on to Rick by his father. I have brought in my 97 BMW for an oil leak. Rick gave me an estimate but I felt it was a bit high so I took the car for couple more estimates. I drove back to Rick ASAP as he was 2 to 3 times cheaper then the others. Not only the price but everybody is nice and Rick will work with you and help you as much as he can. 10 out of 10
